INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1. INSPECT TIRE
(a) Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure. Standard cold tire inflation pressure:

(b) Using a dial indicator, check the tire runout. Tire runout:
3.0 mm (0.118 in.) or less | |
2. ROTATE TIRE (a) Rotate the tires as shown in the illustration.
Torque: for Aluminum Wheel : 131 N·m {1336 kgf·cm, 97 ft·lbf}
for Steel Wheel : 209 N·m {2131 kgf·cm, 154 ft·lbf} Text in Illustration |

3. INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE
(a) for Steel Wheel Type: Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.
Standard Imbalance After Adjustment: 8.0 g (0.0180 lb) or less
NOTICE:
- Use a cleaning detergent to remove dirt, oil and water from the surface where the balance weight is to be attached.
- Do not touch the adhesive surface of the tape.
- Attach a sticking-type balance weight to the flat surface (A) shown in the illustration.
Width (A):
25 mm (0.984 in.)
- Push the balance weight firmly so that it securely adheres to the position.
- Do not reuse the balance weight.
HINT:
- For chrome type wheels, the inner side balance weight should be installed by clipping it to the rim.
- If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance.

(b) for Aluminum Wheel Type: Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.
Standard Imbalance After Adjustment: 8.0 g (0.0180 lb) or less
NOTICE:

- Do not touch the sticking surface of the tape.
- Adhere a sticking type balance weight to the flat surface (A) shown in the illustration.

- Push the balance weight firmly to adhere it to the position.
- Do not reuse the balance weight.
HINT: If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance. |
