PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

  • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  • When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM

(a) When using the Techstream with the vehicle ignition switch off, connect the Techstream to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and the vehicle begins. Then select the Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body. While using the Techstream, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the Techstream and the vehicle.

(b) After all DTCs are cleared, check if the malfunction occurs again 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.

(a) The type of door control receiver used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

(a) Door control receiver

If the door control receiver is replaced, it is necessary to register the electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies to the new door control receiver and perform registration and initialization.
