DESCRIPTION

With the ignition switch off and the driver door closed, pressing the manual lock or unlock switch on the power window regulator master switch assembly while holding a seat memory switch (M1 switch or M2 switch) will register the transmitter recognition code into the seat memory switch that was pressed. After the registration is completed, the answer back buzzer sounds.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally (See page ).

OK:

CAN communication DTC is not output.

NG

Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

OK

2.

CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) Check the manual door lock/unlock function by using the power window regulator master switch assembly (See page ).

OK:

Manual lock/unlock function operates normally.

NG

Go to POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

OK

3.

CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) Check the wireless lock/unlock function of wireless door lock control system (See page ).

OK:

Wireless lock/unlock function operates normally.

NG

Go to WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

4.

CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION

(a) Perform a memory operation and check that the buzzer sounds to indicate the completion of the memory operation (See page ).

NOTICE:

  • The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 seat memory switches are pressed simultaneously.
  • If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.

OK:

Seat position memory function operates normally.

NG

Go to OTHER FLOW CHART (Power Seat Position is not Memorized)

5.

CHECK SEAT POSITION RESTORING FUNCTION

(a) Perform a seat position restoring function (See page ).

(b) Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the seat automatically moves to the memorized position.

NOTICE:

  • The seat position will not return to the memorized position if 2 seat memory switches are pressed simultaneously.
  • If a restoring operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory restoring function does not operate unless the switches are released.

OK:

Seat position restoring function operates normally.

NG

6.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (D DOOR COURTESY)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

7.

CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION

(a) When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the power window regulator master switch assembly.

  • Turn the ignition switch is off.
  • Press and hold the M1 or M2 seat memory switch.
  • Driver door closed.
  • Carry the key.

(b) Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of the memory call registration function (See page ).

OK:

Buzzer sounds normally.

8.

CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Close and lock all doors.

(c) Unlock the driver door by pressing the unlock switch of the memory call registered key while holding the memory call registered key.

(d) Open the driver door and check that the driver seat moves to the memorized position (See page ).

OK:

Driver seat moves to the memorized position.

OK

9.

REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

(a) Temporarily replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) with a new or normally functioning one (See page ).

CHECK MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION FUNCTION

(a) When the following conditions are met, press the manual lock or unlock switch on the power window regulator master switch assembly.

  • Turn the ignition switch is off
  • Press and hold the M1 or M2 seat memory switch
  • Driver door closed
  • Carry the key

(b) Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds to indicate the completion of the memory call registration function (See page ).

OK:

Buzzer sounds normally.
