DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

• Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
• The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

3. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Detach the guide, clip and 2 claws as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

(d) w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch: (1) Detach the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

(e) w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch:

(1) Detach the clamp and disconnect the 4 connectors to remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

5. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

6. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

7. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

8. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Remove the 3 screws and the position control ECU and switch assembly.

9. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH LH

10. REMOVE SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE LH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Detach the 2 clamps to remove the front No. 2 seat wire LH.

12. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the guide in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield LH.

13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) w/ Seat Heater System: (1) Disconnect the connector. (2) Detach the wire harness clamp to disconnect the wire harness of the front seatback heater assembly LH.

(b) Disconnect the connector.

(c) Detach the wire harness clamp to disconnect the wire harness of the front seatback wire LH.

(d) Detach the connector clamp and 3 wire harness clamps to disconnect the wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly LH. Text in Illustration *1 Connector Clamp *2 Wire Harness Clamp

(e) Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Detach the hook.

(b) w/o Seat Heater System: (1) Pull out the 2 wire harnesses from the separate type front seatback cover.

(c) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Pull out the 3 wire harnesses from the separate type front seatback cover.

(d) Open the 2 fasteners.

(e) Detach the 2 hooks. (1) Remove the 4 clips. (2) Slide each hook to detach them.

(f) Pull out the 4 straps of the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

(g) Detach the 6 fasteners. Text in Illustration *1 Fastener

(h) Remove the 2 hog rings.

(i) Detach the 4 claws to remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

(j) Remove the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

(a) w/ Climate Control Seat System: (1) Detach the 6 clips.

(b) Remove the separate type front seatback pad from the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.

17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK WIRE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) w/o Climate Control Seat System: (1) Disconnect the 2 connectors. (2) Detach the 3 clamps to remove the front seatback wire LH.

(b) w/ Climate Control Seat System: (1) Disconnect the 3 connectors. (2) Detach the 5 clamps to remove the front seatback wire LH.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the 3 connectors.

(b) Detach the 4 clamps to remove the front seatback wire RH.

20. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

21. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HOOK

22. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Spread the wires of the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the 2 claws.

(b) Detach the 2 hooks.

(c) Remove the seatback climate control blower LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.

23. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Detach the connector clamp and 2 wire harness clamps to disconnect the seat cushion wire LH.

(c) for Driver Side:

(1) Detach the 11 hooks.

(2) w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch: Detach the 4 hooks.

(3) w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch: Remove the 4 hog rings.

(4) Remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad from the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly LH.

(d) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Detach the 12 hooks.

(2) Remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad from the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly RH.

24. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Detach the 2 fasteners. Text in Illustration *1 Fastener

(b) Remove the 10 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover.

25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

26. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

27. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Detach the clamp to remove the seat heater control sub-assembly LH.

28. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Detach the 2 clips.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

29. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Detach the clamp.

(b) Remove the 3 nuts and seat climate control blower LH.

30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WIRE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 claws.

(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(c) for 8 Way Seat Type:

(1) w/o Seat Heater System: Disconnect the connector and detach the connector clamp and 3 wire harness clamps to remove the front seat cushion wire LH. Text in Illustration *1 Connector Clamp *2 Wire Harness Clamp

(2) w/ Seat Heater System: Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 connector clamps and 3 wire harness clamps to remove the front seat cushion wire LH. Text in Illustration *1 Connector Clamp *2 Wire Harness Clamp

(d) for 10 Way Seat Type: (1) Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 2 connector clamps and 4 wire harness clamps to remove the front seat cushion wire LH. Text in Illustration *1 Connector Clamp *2 Wire Harness Clamp

31. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 2 connector clamps and 6 wire harness clamps to remove the front seat cushion wire RH. Text in Illustration *1 Connector Clamp *2 Wire Harness Clamp

32. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front seat cushion panel sub-assembly. Text in Illustration *A w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch *B w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch

33. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the hook of the front side.

(b) Detach the 4 hooks of the rear side to remove the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

34. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Detach the hook.

(b) Remove the screw.

(c) Detach the claw to remove the front lower seat cushion shield LH.

35. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

36. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Detach the 2 claws to remove the front lower seat cushion shield LH.

37. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

38. REMOVE UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER

(a) Detach the 2 claws to remove the upper seat track cover. HINT: Use the same procedure for all upper seat track covers.

39. REMOVE UPPER NO. 4 SEAT TRACK COVER

(a) Detach the 2 claws to remove the upper No. 4 seat track cover.

40. REMOVE UPPER NO. 3 SEAT TRACK COVER

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the upper No. 4 seat track cover.

41. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WIRE LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and front seat cushion shield wire LH.

42. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and front seat cushion shield wire RH.
