INSPECT WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY HINT: This check should be performed with the windshield washer motor and pump installed to the washer jar. (a) Fill the washer jar with washer fluid. (b) Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the washer motor and pump. (c) Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar. OK: Washer fluid flows from washer jar. If the result is not as specified, replace the washer motor and pump assembly. Installation INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY
2. FILL UP WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY WITH WASHER FLUID
3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
(b) Install the windshield washer jar with the clip and 3 bolts. Torque: 3.5 N·m {36 kgf·cm, 31 in·lbf} Removal REMOVAL PROCEDURE 1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
(b) Remove the clip and 3 bolts. Then remove the washer jar. 2. DRAIN WASHER FLUID
