DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

C1AB4	Both of the following conditions are met: The blind spot monitor system is on The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator	Outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH Outer rear view mirror assembly RH Harness or connector Blind spot monitor sensor RH

NOTICE:

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.

PROCEDURE

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs.

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

2.	CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the S6 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

(b) Disconnect the M6 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

Standard Resistance:

w/ Memory

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
S6-4 (OMIR) - M6-9 (BSR+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
M6-5 (MLP-) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

w/o Memory

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
S6-4 (OMIR) - M6-18 (BSR+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
M6-5 (MLP-) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

3.	INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the M6 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

*A	w/ Memory
*B	w/o Memory
*a	Front view of outer rear view mirror assembly RH (to Vehicle Harness Connector)
*b	Front view of outer rear view mirror assembly RH (to Outer Rear View Mirror Sub-assembly RH)

(b) Disconnect the IND1 outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH connector.

Standard Resistance:

w/ Memory

M6-9 (BSR+) - IND1-5 (+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
M6-5 (MLP-) - IND1-7 (-)	Always	Below 1 Ω

w/o Memory

REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

4.	INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH.

(b) Inspect the outer rear view mirror indicator RH on the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH.

REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH

REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Short to GND in Outer Mirror Indicator(Slave) (C1AB3)

Open in Outer Mirror Indicator(Slave) (C1AB5)
