Toyota Tundra Service Manual: Freeze Frame Data

FREEZE FRAME DATA

FREEZE FRAME DATA/INFORMATION

(a) When a DTC is stored, the trailer brake control ECU (brake control with bracket relay) stores the current vehicle state as Freeze Frame Data.

HINT:

Freeze Frame Data at the time a DTC is stored:

When the trailer brake control ECU (brake control with bracket relay) stores data at the time a DTC is stored, no updates will be performed until the data is cleared.

(b) For DTCs stored in the trailer brake control ECU (brake control with bracket relay), information (INF) codes that are contained in the Freeze Frame Data can be displayed on the Techstream.

CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA AND INFORMATION

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Trailer Brake Controller / Trouble Codes.

(f) Read the Freeze Frame Data recorded when the DTCs were stored.
