DESCRIPTION

If a malfunction in the SFI system is detected, the operation of VSC and TRAC is prohibited by the fail-safe function. When the signals from the engine are received normally, fail-safe control is canceled.

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK SFI SYSTEM

(a) Check if SFI system DTCs are output.

Result	Proceed to
DTCs are not output	A
DTCs are output	B

REPLACE ECM

INSPECT SFI SYSTEM

Open in ABS Solenoid Relay Circuit (C146E)

SM Solenoid Circuit (C1225-C1228,C1468,C1469,C146A,C146B)
