DESCRIPTION For 2WD vehicles and 4WD vehicles in 2H mode:
- When the VSC OFF switch (traction control switch) is pressed for a short
amount of time (approximately 1 second), the AUTO LSD indicator light
illuminates.
- When the vehicle is stopped and the VSC OFF switch (traction control
switch) is pressed for 3 seconds or more, the AUTO LSD indicator light
and VSC OFF indicator light illuminate.
- When in AUTO LSD mode, the vehicle is stopped and the VSC OFF switch
(traction control switch) is pressed for 3 seconds or more, the VSC and
TRAC functions turn off, the AUTO LSD indicator light turns off and the
TRAC OFF indicator light and VSC OFF indicator light illuminate.
4WD vehicles in 4H mode:
- When in 4H mode, the TRAC OFF and VSC OFF indicator light turn off.
- When the VSC OFF switch (traction control switch) is pressed for a short
amount of time (approximately 1 second), the TRAC function turns off
and the TRAC OFF indicator light illuminates.
- When the vehicle is stopped and the VSC OFF switch (traction control
switch) is pressed for 3 seconds or more with the TRAC OFF function
turned off, the VSC and TRAC functions turn off, and the TRAC OFF
indicator light and VSC OFF indicator light illuminate.
4WD Vehicles in 4L mode:
- When the vehicle is in 4L mode, the TRAC OFF and AUTO LSD indicator
lights turn off and the VSC OFF indicator light illuminates.When the
vehicle is stopped and the VSC OFF switch (traction control switch) is
pressed for 3 seconds or more, the VSC and TRAC functions turn off and
the TRAC OFF indicator light and VSC OFF indicator light illuminate.

(a) Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
OK: The connector is securely connected. (b) Disconnect the A57 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
(c) Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.
OK: No deformation or corrosion. (d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
