DESCRIPTION

This DTC is detected when an open circuit or short to ground is detected in the transfer shift motor drive circuit.

  1. Ignition switch ON (when transfer shift motor is not operating)
  2. Short to ground in the transfer shift motor drive circuit

  • 4 wheel drive control ECU
  • Transfer shift actuator assembly

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (TRANSFER SHIFT MOTOR)

(a) Disconnect the 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the A26 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the D67 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
