DESCRIPTION If the forward recognition camera detects that the forward recognition camera axis has deviated, DTC C1AA8 is stored. Also, if Forward Recognition Camera Axis Adjustment is not performed after installing the forward recognition camera, DTC C1AA9 is stored.

(a) Check if the stored DTCs are current DTCs. (b) Check for DTCs. Click here
(a) Check the operating conditions of the vehicle. HINT: DTC C1AA8 may be stored if the forward recognition camera optical axis is temporarily misaligned due to the vehicle being overloaded.
(a) Check the front wheel alignment (toe). Click here HINT: DTC C1AA8 may be stored if the forward recognition camera optical axis is misaligned due to incorrect wheel alignment (toe).
(a) Adjust the alignment (toe) of the wheels. Click here
(a) Perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust. Click here
(a) Clear the DTCs. Click here (b) Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met. HINT: If the conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction. (c) Check for DTCs. Click here
(a) Check the installation condition of the forward recognition camera. Click here HINT: If the forward recognition camera bracket is deformed or misaligned, replace the windshield glass. OK: No deformation or misalignment in the forward recognition camera bracket.

(a) Return the vehicle to normal operating conditions. (b) Perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust. Click here
